Welcome to TILDA

The Irish Longitudinal Study on Aging (TILDA) is a longitudinal, nationally representative survey of more than 8,000 persons 50 years or older and their spouses (regardless of age) in Ireland. The first wave was conducted in 2010; participants will have a follow-up interview every two years and health assessment every three to four years for a ten-year period. Survey topics include health status and needs, social and economic status, social and economic participation, and how health, wealth, and happiness interact.
