Welcome to SHARE

Description: The Survey of Health, Ageing, and Retirement in Europe (SHARE) COVID-19 survey is a cross-national panel survey of people aged 50 and older and their partners in 27 countries of Europe and Israel. Its sample was drawn from a cross-national cohort, the Survey of Health, Ageing, and Retirement in Europe. Its main goal is to understand the unintended consequences of the epidemic control decisions to contain the COVID-19 pandemic and to devise improved health, economic, and social policies that will make European Union healthcare systems and societies more resilient to pandemics in terms of prevention, protection, and treatment of older adults. The survey elicits information about demographics, COVID-19 avoidance behavior, COVID-19 testing, economic effects of COVID-19, health, healthcare utilization, employment, social networks, and informal care.
